I think you will be very fortunate if you get Alain Colmerauer to come for a
semester and give a seminar on PROLOG. I believe it will attract considerable
attendance in the Boston area.
In general there is a natural, but regrettable, tendency for people at
MIT, Stanford, and CMU to neglect developments that weren't invented at one of
these favored places. Colmerauer's work and PROLOG in general deserve more
attention from the computer science community, and having him at Brandeis will
help with that.
